The Dionysus Ensemble has commissioned English composer Ayanna Witter-Johnson to write Windrush Reflections which the group will perform at a concert in March.

“Ayanna is drawing on her Caribbean heritage to create something truly unique and special for the ensemble reflecting on the big Windrush anniversary this year,” explained Léonie Adams from the Dionysus Ensemble.

The free concert on Sunday 17 March at St Mary’s Church in Slough will also feature the Platinum Suite plus music by Herschel, Finzi, Bizet and Mascagni as well as a celebration of British folk songs.
