twisted skyscape is a re-release featuring British composers Philip Sparke, Adam Gorb, Gary Carpenter and Christopher Hussey in premiere recordings of their music.
This unique and groundbreaking new classical music album is the first of its kind devoted entirely to new music written for the woodwind orchestra.
Featuring outstanding performances by the principal woodwind players of the Czech Philharmonic, the album presents a highly adaptable and magical tonal palette: in turn, boldly vibrant and delicately beautiful, thrillingly powerful and hauntingly tender, earnestly solemn and joyously comical.
Particularly well known in wind music circles, Adam Gorb is Head of Composition at the RNCM and Gary Carpenter is a Professor of Composition at the RAM.
The new forthcoming release of Chromosphere is described as highlighting the ‘Symphonic Colours of the Woodwind Orchestra’.
Performed by the Czech Philharmonic Wind Ensemble conducted by Shea Lolin, it features British composers Keiron Anderson, Judith Bingham OBE, Charlotte Harding and Christopher Hussey in premiere recordings.
Chromosphere is due to be released on Friday 12 January 2024 through Divine Art DDX 21117.
