The Company of Heaven

The City of Birmingham Choir and Westminster Chamber Orchestra perform Britten’s rarely heard cantata “The Company of Heaven”, alongside Finzi’s radiant “Magnificat”, Cecilia McDowall’s exciting and lyrical “Ave Maris Stella”. The real rarity though is Susan Spain-Dunk’s Suite for Strings in B minor, a real gem of a masterwork.
