Music in Oddington: Love, Loss & Laughter
The inaugural concert for Music in Oddington will feature the world premiere of Wendy Hiscock’s Looking through a Diamond. This concert begins with the lyrical songs of Gloucestershire-born Michael Hurd to mark the 20th anniversary of his death, before moving into party mode with piano solos by Wendy Hiscocks and the British king of syncopation, Billy Mayerl. Jeremy Huw Williams concludes the programme with rarely heard Welsh folksong settings by Haydn and Grace Williams.
